JEE Main 2026: Application Form, Important Dates, and Eligibility Criteria
JEE Main 2026 Registration: JEE Main 2026 Session 1 registration will start in November 2025. The online applications for the exam will be available on the JEE official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA has started a demo application link to familiarise the candidates with the registration process before the actual link opens. The candidates can visit the demo link at: demo.nta.nic.in. after 7th October 2025. The official registration will soon begin after the NTA notification on their official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility
Before applying and preparing for the JEE Main exam, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria to find the application status:
- Passing Year: The candidate who has passed class 12th in 2024, 2025 or is appearing for the board exam in 2026 is eligible to apply for the JEE Main 2026 exam.
- Age: There is no age limit for the JEE Main application form.
- Percentage: Any candidate can fill out the JEE Main 2026 application form, as the 75% rule does not apply to the JEE Main exam; it applies only to the JEE Advanced exam.
- Subjects: The candidate must have passed the intermediate or 10+2 exam in the core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for all programs (B.Tech., B.E., B.Planning, and B.Arch.)
- Nationality: The JEE applications are open to all Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, or foreign nationals.

Documents Required for JEE Main 2026 Application
The list of documents required for the JEE Main 2026 application is as follows:
- Class 10th Marksheet (for date of birth and eligibility proof)
- Class 12th Marksheet (for eligibility and qualifying exam details)
- Category Certificate (if applicable, SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- AADHAR Card (for verification purposes)
- Passport-sized Photograph ( as per the details mentioned in the official website)
- Scanned copy of signature
- Email ID and Mobile Number for communication
- UDID card (for PwD candidates)
It is important to submit a scanned copy of the document as per their category. The general category candidates can skip some of the documents that do not apply to their category. The candidate must keep their AADHAR card ready for verification to avoid last-minute hassle.
